SRF update

SPOCK’S BEARD (US)
Arguably the most important spearheading act in the great progressive rock renaissance of the late 90s.

EVERGREY (S)
Melodic, dark, political and technical metal. I saw them acousticly last year, but this time a full show. Looking forward to it :)

KANSAS (US)
Hard rock with some symphonics thrown in for good measure. It’s been a while since I saw them so will look forward to them.

FM (UK)
Great melodic rock band. A good addition.

LEE AARON (CAN)
The original 80s ‘Metal Queen’.

HOUSTON (S)
Classic, melodic FM-rock of the early 80s' model.

THIN LIZZY (IRL/UK/US)
Former Thin Lizzy members Scott Gorham (guitar), Brian Downey (drums), Darren Wharton (keyboards) and Marco Mendoza (bass), along with guitarist Viv Campbell (Def Leppard, ex-Dio) and singer Ricky Warwick (ex-The Almighty).

FIVE HORSE JOHNSON (US)
Stoner rock.

DOC HOLIDAY (US)
80s Southern rock.

STRYPER (US)
80s Christian melodic metal.

THE BREW (UK)
Traditional blues.

RHINO BUCKET (US)
Influenced by AC/DC.

DUFF McKAGAN'S LOADED US
Ex-Guns N' Roses- bassist with some rough and rugged hard-rock with strong punk-influences.

ACCEPT (D)
German heavy metal – with their new American vocalist Mark Tornillo.

GWAR (US)
Lethal monsters from outer space, frozen inside Antarctica for millions of years and defrosted in the 80s due to the hairspray fumes from hair metal fans?
Or "only" a band from Virginia with a stageshow even crazier than the music?
Influences from punk, Frank Zappa-like experimentation and, obviously, brutal metal.
Another important components of the Gwar concept is the explicit genitals-related humour (beware of fluid-spraying from the stage) plus "murders" of objectionable individuals - don't be surprised if you see someone like Mr. Lordi get "executed" on stage during Gwar's SRF debut. An experience you won't easily forget!

BLACK VEIL BRIDES (US)
Modern metal with traditional punk and glam, while wearing make-up in classic Kiss/Mötley Crüe-fashion.

CRASHDÏET (S)
the new wave of sleaze.

HARDCORE SUPERSTAR (S)
Glam turned metal hard-rock.

DOWN (US)
A supergroup of musicians from the heavy 90s' scene including singer Phil Anselmo (ex-Pantera). Raw, aggressive and sludgy metal.

ICED EARTH (US)
90s heavy metal with classic vocalist Matt Barlow returning.

HAWKWIND (UK)
Space rock.

MORBID ANGEL (US)
Death metal.

NECRONAUT (S)
Death metal.
