Epica

Tuesday 11th

Stream Of Passion were created as a side project by a Dutchman with international musicians including Mexican vocalist Marcela Bovio. I think only Marcela remains from the original conception with Dutch musicians filling up the band.
The music is great but it is the sweet vocals which are the key focus of the band.
I would have really loved a longer set from them but it was a pleasure to get what I got.

Setlist:
Lost
Passion
Collide
The Scarlet Mark
My Leader
Out in the Real World
In the End
Street Spirit (Fade Out)
This Endless Night

Epica are also Dutch and also have a female vocalist. This one having long ginger hair (because they all seem to have a different thing about them in these female fronted symphonic metal band).
What sets this band apart from some others is the addition of growl vocals from the guitarist and music that quite often reaches thrash standards. But the mezzo-soprano vocals and keyboards add the symphonic elements.
A very nice 100 minutes or so and some great lighting for such a small room.

Setlist
Monopoly on Truth
Sensorium
Unleashed
Martyr of the Free Word
Serenade of Self-Destruction
Quietus
The Obsessive Devotion
Cry for the Moon
Drum Solo
Sancta Terra
The Phantom Agony
Blank Infinity
Storm the Sorrow
Consign to Oblivion
