Err... I don’t think I’ve done anything important this month.

Best CD of recent times purchased
Alter Bridge - Blackbird
Extreme - Saudades De Rock
Marillion - Happiness Is The Road
The Raconteurs - Consolers Of The Lonely
Revolution Renaissance - New Era
Uli Jon Roth - Under A Dark Sky
RPWL - The RPWL Experience
The Tangent - Not As Good As The Book
Thought Chamber - Angular Perceptions
Thunder - Bang
The Zutons - You Can Do Anything

Strong albums from Revolution Renaissance, Uli Jon Roth, RPWL, The Tangent, Thunder and The Zutons were decent enough but the more stand out ones are Extreme - Saudades De Rock and Thought Chamber - Angular Perceptions who share the glory due to their different musical styles. Extreme has some nice catchy tunes and Thought Chamber is prog rock tastic with its occasional Dream Theater stylings and good vocals from Enchant's Ted Leonard.

Best CD from ages past purchased
Alter Bridge - One Day Remains
Dennis DeYoung - Desert Moon
Dennis DeYoung - Boomchild
Extreme - Extreme
Extreme - Pornograffitti
Extreme - Waiting For The Punchline
Vince Neil - Carved In Stone

Alter Bridge - One Day Remains because it’s a good honest straightforward rocking album.

Best best of CD purchased
Freddie & The Dreamers The Best Of
Alan Parsons - The Essential Alan Parsons Project 1976-87
The Rutles Archaeology
Tremeloes The Complete Collection

Definitely Alan Parsons - The Essential Alan Parsons Project (1976-87). Even though I found out I already had a best of and might just end up buying all the albums sometime.

Gig of the Month
Russel Howard
Alter Bridge
The Dreamers Marmalde Tremeloes
The Zutons
Jimmy Carr
Extreme (+ Hot Leg)

Best comedy gig was the cheeky chucklesome Russel Howard.
Best music gig was the often under-appreciated Extreme (+Hot Leg).

Cinema film of the Month
Max Payne wasn’t very good.
Zack & Miri Make A Porno was Kevin Smith at his best. No Jay & Silent Bob, but Jason Mewes was in it so all is well.
Quarantine was quite scary. Worse case of rabies I’ve ever seen :o

Film on TV
Wild Bill
Black Snake Moan
Wedding Daze (Isla Fisher, hmm;))
Firehouse Dog
Across The Universe
Saibogujiman kwenchana (I'm A Cyborg, But That's OK)
The Brave One
Monster In Law

Hannibal was amusing in a Hannibal Lector eats brains kind of way, The Brave One had Jodie Foster being a bit intense as usual.
Black Snake Moan had great turns from Sam L Jackson looking gray and righteous and Christina Ricci looking thin and damaged (and in her underpants for most of the film).

Best DVD bought
Rocketman - Daft daft daft :)

DVD watched
The Longest Yard
The Science Of Sleep
Must Love Dogs
Blood Trails
Paradise Lost

Nothing outstanding but The Longest Yard was a decent Mean machine remake with some comedy thrown in. Must Love Dogs was another one of those well done John Cusack comedy romance things (I must be getting old and sentimental). Paradise Lost had Mellisa George in a bikini ;)

DVD rewatched
Quantum Of Solace
Iron Man

Book read
Very nearly. If I hadn’t had bought those purchases.

Top purchase
Panasonic TH-42PZ80B 42" 100Hz PLASMA TV
Serano SB1050 Stand for up to 47'' Flat Panel TVs
Panasonic DMREX78EB Panasonic DMR EX78EB Digital DVD Recorder with Hard Drive
Belkin 1 Metre HDMI Cable

The Wii is fun but it’s nothing without a Panasonic 42" PLASMA TV

December has 13 days at work, 3 gigs, and a Crimbo :)
