This month I was mostly planning on what to do in the 2nd half of the month, being a pirate, and having a NY 7 MA adventure.

Best CD of recent times purchased
Andre Andersen / Paul Laine / Dennis Redman - III
Blackmore’s Night – Secret Voyage
Brother Firetribe - Heart Full Of Fire
David Byrne / Brian Eno - Everything That Happens Will Happen Today
Flower Kings - The Sum Of No Evil
Jack Foster III - Jazzraptor's Secret
Thunder – The Xmas Show Live

Nice ones from Andersen Laine Redman, Jack Foster III, Brother Firetribe and the marvelous Flower Kings - The Sum Of No Evil who are back with another feast of prog including a 24 minute epic and 3 13 minute tunes. All the great prog bands are here but it’s still very much a Flower Kings album.

Best CD from ages past purchased
Bif Naked - Superbeautifulmonster
Big Cock – Year Of The Cock
City Boy - Young Men Gone West
David Byrne / Brian Eno - My Life in the Bush of Ghosts
Jack Foster III - Raptorgnosis
Queensrÿche - Tribe
Queen - A Day at the Races (Tie Your Mother Down, Somebody to Love, White Man)
Queen - News of the World (We Are the Champions, Sheer Heart Attack, It's Late)
Queen - Live Killers
Queen - A Kind of Magic (One Vision, A Kind of Magic, Friends Will Be Friends, Who Wants to Live Forever, Princes of the Universe)
Queen - Innuendo (Innuendo, Headlong, These Are the Days of Our Lives, The Show Must Go On)
Queen - Made in Heaven (Too Much Love Will Kill You)

Jack Foster III – Raptorgnosis is great, Robert Berry & Trent Gardner help out loads which probably helped it. The Queen albums are nice too.

Best best of CD purchased
The Babys - Anthology
Jason Becker - Collection
Bif Naked - Essentially Naked
Queensrÿche - Sign Of The Times: The Best Of...
Tina Turner – The Platinum Collection

John Waite & Jonathan Cain make The Babys good (Isn’t It Time is a great song). But I like Queensrÿche - Sign Of The Times: The Best Of best of all.

Gig of the Month
Rob Brydon might have been a worthwhile comedy winner even he was up with others.
There were originally no music bands (because Tina Turner was ill) but then I got to see The Allman Brothers Band in New York :)

Cinema film of the Month
The Unborn
Lesbian Vampire Killers
Watchmen - Awesome. Literally

Film on TV
Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story
THX 1138
Death Note
Death Note: The Last Name
- and 3 watched on the plane:
Ghost Town
Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist

Death Note: The Last Name - Those Japs have engaged my brain once again. It can only be watched after the first though. I also really enjoyed Australia and though N&NIP was nice.

Rewatched Film on TV
The Animal is an enjoyable Rob Schneider film.
Help was watched with Aly & Jamie but I think we all kept nodding off
Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure! was watched while playing Texas Hold ‘E with Aly & Jamie.

Best DVD bought
I got Kentucky Fried Movie for £1 from Tesco.

DVD watched
Walled In
Dark Corners
Green Street Hooligans 2
Walk The Line
Superhero Movie
House Of The Dead 2

Superhero Movie was actually not too bad but I liked the weirdness of Dark Corners starring Thora Birch.

Book read
I thought I would get to read one on the plane, but they had movies.

Top purchase
I ♥ NY T-shirt and my NYPD T-shirt too.

April has 17 days at work, 8 gigs and maybe something special :o
