Boo Who?

It’s been a month filled with extra hours at work but some of those were back on the night shift where I got a few films in.
My days off have consisted of telly, gym, and rabbit sitting.

Best CD of recent times purchased
Kevin Costner - Turn It On 2010
FM - City Limits
Heart - Red Velvet Car
Lordi – Babez For Breakfast
Mr Big - What If
Rhapsody - The Cold Embrace of Fear - A Dark Romantic Symphony 2010 Transatlantic – The Whirlwind 2009

It’s a great return from the melodic rock of Mr Big - What If and also the 77 minute prog epic that is Transatlantic – The Whirlwind 2009.

Best CD from ages past purchased
Garth Brooks – Fresh Horses 1995
Dio - Dio At Donington UK: Live 1983 & 1987
Glenn Hughes - Play Me Out
Mike Oldfield – Crises 1983
Red Hot Chilli Peppers – Stadium Arcadium 2006
Pete Townshend - All The Best Cowboys Have Chinese Eyes

There’s something nice about Pete Townshend - All The Best Cowboys Have Chinese Eyes, a little bit The Who but with more pop tendencies.

Best best of CD purchased
Joan Jett and the Blackhearts – Greatest Hits
The Levellers – One Way of Life 1991-98 contained more great tunes for me.

Gig of the Month
Other bands play, Manowar kill.

Cinema film of the Month
To be honst there didn’t seem to be anything brilliant on.

Film on TV
The Book of Eli
Green Zone
Blood & Chocolate
Love Happens
Repo Men
Robin Hood

Repo Men was interesting in a repossessing human organs kind of way, good to see an 18 certificate violent film.
Micmacs had director Jean-Pierre Jeunet doing what he does best. A little less colourful than some others but just as nicely weird.

Top purchase
My upgrade to Sky+ HD will benefit me with it not crashing and having HD, but my X-Mi X Mini II 2nd Generation Capsule iPod / MP3 Speaker Docking Station) lets me have music on the run :)

April has 17 days at work + 8 hours overtime, 4 gigs and me working for a new company :o
