Thursday 16th

Days after returning from Sweden it was time for another gig. This time a repeat viewing of Whitesnake (without the special guests) at Wolverhampton Civic Hall.

Because it being many miles away and a school night we missed the first half of support act. This was a shame as it was The Union. Formed by Thunder guitarist Luke Morley and ex Winterville vocalist/guitarist Peter Shoulder.
The album of bluesy rock is enjoyable and listening to them play live just as much. The music and Pete’s vocal tone made them a good fit for support.

It was nice seeing Mr Coverdale & co on a big outdoor stage in Sweden but also nice in a smaller venue as it gave him chance to talk to the crowd a bit more, even if it was mostly about women’s pants and knockers.
As usual a good brummie crowd and a good band performance at the civic.

Set list:
Best Years
Give Me All Your Love
Love Ain't No Stranger
Is This Love
Steal Your Heart Away
Love Will Set You Free
Guitar Duel
My Evil Ways
Drum Solo
Ain't No Love In The Heart Of The City
Fare Thee Well
Fool For Your Lovin'
Here I Go Again
Still Of The Night
